John installed the system as promised. We were suprised that there was not gravel under my basement, the sub floor was clay. This made the system work harder to mitigate the radon, so he installed a stronger fan for me at no additional charge.

Unfortunately, I discovered a high level of radon prior to working on my basement. After a number of interviews and estimates I felt John Ottwein's company Radon Control, Inc. was the right choice to do the work....and I was correct.
John was able to install the system to accomadate my basement and garage configuration in a satisfactory manner. He explained each step he was taking and addressed any concerns I had.
He installed the most energy efficient fan he could, but explained that if it did not reduce the radon level to a safe level, he would come back and install the next larger fan at no additional charge. I have retested my levels and I am down to a very satisfactory 1.8 pCi/L level.
John did an excellent job and I recommend him to anyone who is in need of reducing their radon levels. His professionalism and courtesy made the experience a positive one.
